The Missing Golden Ticket and Other Splendiferous Secrets

The Missing Golden Ticket and Other Splendiferous SecretsThe Missing Golden Ticket and Other Splendiferous Secrets by Roald Dahl
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This is not a novel, so you probably would not normally read it all the way through. Or, maybe you would, who knows.

The Missing Golden Ticket and Other Splendiferous Secrets is a collection of quizzes, fun facts, and other interesting information on the books by Roald Dahl. The parts I found most interesting, were the tidbits involving the first draft of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I know books go through multiple drafts, but reading some of the original story made me stop and think about how different the published version is. I can safely say that my childhood was greatly impacted by the story, and I can’t imagine how I would have reacted to some of things that were removed. Now that I’m an adult, I kind of want to read the full original version.

If you really like Roald Dahl books, then this book is a chance to delve deeper into the world he created.
