Slacker by Gordon Korman
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I will admit, I had a hard time getting into this book. It picks up as you read, so if you are like me, KEEP GOING. By the end, I was cheering everyone on and crossing my fingers that there wasn’t some huge plot twist.
This is not my favorite of Gordon Korman’s books, but it’s okay. I think this one doesn’t translate as well as others do for adult readers. For a middle-grade reader, this is perfect.
Cameron did kind of get on my nerves, which may be why I struggled. Maybe it’s just the adult in me, but I wanted to scream at him multiple times. When I think about it, he is really the epitome of some teenagers, so I guess it works.
