King of the Mole People by Paul GilliganMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I don’t even really know what to say about this book. It’s great. There is so much that goes on, and finding a way to talk about it without spoilers is difficult. The characters are developed and different from what you will find in other books. Doug’s interactions with the Mole People make for some humorous situations that kind of make me feel bad for him. It has to be difficult dealing with creatures that try so hard to please you, but at the same time don’t quite understand the right way to go about things.
It is easy to spot the villain, but I was surprised by his motives. There is a lot going on behind the scenes that leads Doug on the adventure of a lifetime. I’m ready for the next book.
