The Hound of Rowan by Henry H. NeffMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I would read this book at night, and found that that is a horrible idea, because I would end up going to bed really late in order to keep reading.
There is some mystery behind the different characters. I’m pretty sure that there is something in Max’s family history that will turn out to be important in the series. He seems to have a connection to the old magic that was not really explored in this first book. Max’s roommate also has some mysterious past. He has a tragic back story, and his mother is horrible, but there is something about him that I feel needs to be explained. I can tell the the author is planning on doing this in a later book, but oh my goodness, I really want answers.
