I am a fan of the Artemis Fowl series, so I was excited to see that Eoin Colfer decided to expand the world he had built. The twins were still pretty little in the last book of the previous series, so they hadn’t fully developed as characters. Now, I may like them more than Artemis, especially Beckett who really just seems like the type of person everyone needs in their life.
While I like the new LEP characters, I do miss Holly, and was glad that she wasn’t completely tossed aside. I mean, I get it, Holly goes with Artemis and the twins need their own group of magical creatures, but they are still intertwined with the first group so they can’t disappear completely.
I’m glad this is the start of a new series, because I am more than ready for some more Fowl adventures.
