The Chicken Squad: The First Misadventure

The Chicken Squad: The First MisadventureThe Chicken Squad: The First Misadventure by Doreen Cronin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I read the first book in the J.J. Tully series before reading this, so I did have some background on the characters before I started. I found that this book provides enough background that the reader does not have to have read the first series before this one to understand who everyone is.

One of my favorite parts of this book was J.J.’s descriptions of each of the chickens, especially when it came to their talents. Also, the fact that everyone fully admits that a chicken with a triangle shaped head is just weird. The heroes of the story are not above showing their faults, or the faults of each other.

After reading two books featuring these chickens, I have to admit, chicken logic is some of the best logic out there.
