Eoin Colfer created some crazy characters for this book. They kept taking me by surprise, which was nice. I was trying to figure out who the culprit was, but at the same time, I knew that nothing was really as it seemed. I’ve never read anything that made me more scared of little girls. It seems like such a random thing to take away from a book, but seriously, that was the epitome of a plot twist.
The characters made the book. Even the ones that seemed kind of sketchy I found myself rooting for. The reader has to look beyond first impressions to really figure out what is going on before it is revealed.
